(USS Bataan) 3 weeks ago, on the 7th June 2014, U.S. Marine Corps Capt. William Mahoney took off on a routine training flight. As soon as he took off, he realised the kite had suffered a nose wheel malfunction and when he reported back to the control tower, he was shocked to find out that they actually had a contingency plan for such an event.
