Protesting prisoners on English prison roof offered... sun cream

(UK) It never fails to amaze me how stupid the UK authorities can get. We had the case a few years back where the family of a 93-year-old pensioner installed a fence in response to a spate of burglaries against her, were told to take it down in case it injured anybody who was robbing her. We've had the police refuse to name escaped prisoners in case they go into hiding and, get this, it isn't fair on them. And yesterday it transpired that prison authorities were so concerned about a couple of lags carrying out a roof-top protest at Dartmoor prison getting sunburnt, they offered them sun cream in which to protect them from the harsh rays of the Sun.

Pathetic.
